We serve classic American fare with an 

emphasis on southern traditions.

417 Union occupies the space previously held by Satsuma Tea Room since 1939. This location has serviced local businesses for over 72 years starting with a ladies tea house, then establishing a gentleman's round table and concluding with not only a family oriented diner, soda counter, full bar, but also a local eatery where the politicians, lawyers, state officials, locals and visitors have been coming to eat for decades. 

Our restaurant was designed with the  idea of celebrating the end of World War II and the decor, artifacts, music, and ambiance  is all from the 1940s.

We welcome all customers to bring in photographs for our walls of loved ones who served in any of our armed forces who helped to keep America safe and secure.

Our infamous specialty house coffee is freshly blended, ground, brewed, fair trade, and organic when possible.

We obtain local produce whenever possible. 

We are open 7 days a week.

We serve breakfast all day, everyday.
